2000 Porsche 911 Cabriolet. This example is finished in Cobalt Blue, this droptop's paint and trim are in overall very good order while the bodywork is excellent. The Dark Blue, power-folding canvas top that automatically latches and unlatches. It does show wear and rear windows are cloudy. The engine bay is in very good order, the body-colored bumpers fit tightly to the body, crack in rear body see photos, and the rear wing will rise and lower at various speeds. The frunk is also in good order. This Porsche rolls on a mixture of radials. The tires are 235/35ZR19 in front and 295/30ZR19 in back. Each tire is mounted to a 10-spoke alloy wheel. The car has MacPherson strut front suspension with aluminum alloy lower control arms, aluminum alloy multi-link LSA (light, stable, agile) rear axle with toe correction characteristics and front/rear stabilizer bars.Out back is a 3.4L DOHC flat, water-cooled, six-cylinder engine with fuel injection. The motor is backed by a six-speed Tiptronic transmission and 3.44:1 gearing. Driver convenience features include electronic climate control, cruise control, force-sensitive rack-and-pinion steering, power, vented four-wheel disc brakes with yellow calipers, tilt steering column, power windows, power locks and power and heated sideview mirrors.Safety equipment include dual front airbags, side-impact air bags, three-point seatbelts, remote entry, anti-lock brakes and fog lights.Inside, the car wears a striking Savanna Beige interior that contrasts well with the exterior. The front buckets and carpet are in very good order. The three-spoke steering wheel has a leather rim. The dashboard has VDO analog and digital speedometer, analog tachometer and digital odometer/trip odometer. It and the inner door panels are all in very good shape, as is the center console and console-mounted shift lever. A factory infotainment system rounds out the interior. The Porsche 996 was a new design developed by Pinky Lai under Porsche design chief Harm Lagaay from 1992 to 2006; it was the first 911 that was completely redesigned, and carried over little from its predecessor as Porsche wanted the design team to design a 911 for the next millennium. Featuring an all-new body, interior, and the first water-cooled engine, the 996 replaced the 993 from which only the front suspension, rear multi-link suspension, and a six-speed manual transmission were retained in revised form. The 996 had a drag coefficient of Cd=0.30 resulting from hours spent in the wind tunnel. The 996 is seven inches longer and two inches wider than its predecessor. It is also 45% stiffer courtesy of a chassis formed from high-strength steel. Additionally, it is 110 pounds lighter despite having additional radiators and coolant. The 996 was initially available in a coup or a cabriolet (Convertible) bodystyle with rear-wheel drive, and later with four-wheel drive, using a 3.4L flat-6 engine. At its debut, the 996 featured the most significant change from the classic 911 series: a water-cooled engine replacing the previously air-cooled engine. Progressively stringent emissions and noise regulations, environmental concerns, a higher expectation for refinement and the need for a high-performance 4 valve per cylinder engine made the switch necessary. Other major changes include a completely new platform having a sleeker body with a more raked windshield, and a re-designed interior along with new "fried egg" shaped headlamps (so called due to the amber-colored turn signals) instead of previous "bug eye" headlamps.
