1953 Ford Crestline Roadster Restomod V8 Supercharged Black 1852 Miles
Classic lines with modern flair - that's the first impression you get with this 1953 Ford Crestline roadster restomod. And if that wasn't already attractive enough, you lift the hood to discover a fuel-injected 5.0 V8 that is supercharged for serious roadster power. The matte black instantly sets a hot rod tone. But as you look at its even application, you can see it was thoughtfully done. And that is the overall theme of this one: a street machine with extra thought in its custom creation. The trim was expertly deleted, and the rear was fully smoothed so that the hint of tailfin and bumper now are one continuous piece. And the front is especially cool where the bumper and grille were painted silver, but the famous bullet nose is left in chrome for added distinction. Another nice piece of brightwork is the set of upgraded alloy wheels. Even with the lowered stance, you can recognize the aggressive 18/20-inch front/rear stagger. And of course, there's the roadster body. The roof was completely removed, the gaps were smoothed, and you have a smooth custom rear boot. Because this car now stays open to the world, they made sure to give the interior a unique style. The back returns as the main color, but now it's joined by a vibrant red on the dash and steering wheel. The red also helps show off how this is more of a driver-oriented machine. For example, the front cloth seat covers are a nice piece to have on a sunny day, and they highlight how this has been upgraded to front bucket seats. And the red center console running in-between also draws your attention to the floor shifter. There are auxiliary readouts, a shift light, and a tilt steering column for more cruiser-ready features. This even has an upgraded AM/FM stereo with USB and Bluetooth for the best in modern driving music. The body is a classic Ford and so is the motor, but it benefits from decades of progress. It's the almighty Five-Oh that's done with fuel injection for the best in power and consistency. And speaking of constant power, the V8 has a Vortech supercharger (it gives this the kind of voodoo power that you may want to nickname this one "Black Magic.") It's built with the right components like a full MSD ignition package specifically built for supercharger timing. And a header package that feeds into an X-pipe dual exhaust. The upgrade to a five-speed manual transmission lets you fully harness this enhanced power. As you look underneath, you can see a Mustang II-style independent front end, rack & pinion steering, and front disc brakes. It makes for a solid base for an awesome cruiser. And the fundamentals are there if you want to take the suspension up a level for a true performance restomod. Unique, interesting, and absolutely memorable, this custom 1953 Ford Crestline roadster is the no-top, all-fun custom cruiser.
