1965 Pontiac GTO Tiger Gold Convertible 389 4 barrel V8
1965 Pontiac GTO Convertible This is one of less than 100 Tiger Gold 65 GTO Convertibles produced. Have original build sheet and PHS papers to document car. Car has all the original sheet metal except for some patches in the trunk. The appearance of the trunk is original and a very nice job was done on the panel replacement. The car was originally equipped with a 389 4 barrel V8 and a 3spd manual transmission with Posi Sure Trac rear end. It now has a 1964 389 4 barrel and a Muncie 4spd transmission. The original Posi trac rear end is still in the car. This car is an older frame off restoration that still looks brand new. The paint is near perfect and the interior is like new. The only flaws in the paint are two stress cracks between the trunk lid and rear window which is common on convertibles. There are no chips or bubbles located anywhere on the car. Everything works on the car as it should. Car runs and drives down the road perfect. Car is equipped with drum brakes and power steering. Power convertible top. This is a low mileage car to begin with at the time of the restoration and has been stored in a climate controlled storage since 2003. All trim and chrome is in excellent condition with no peeling or pits. The Tiger Gold was a color used for marketing and not offered as a factory option.
