Ford Fairlane NASCAR Race Car originally owned and driven by David Pearson in the NASCAR Late Model Stock Sportsman Series (now Xfinity). One of three Fairlanes built for Pearson by Banjo Mathews. Fabricated chassis with Fairlane body panels. Raced thru the 1970's by Pearson during the time he was driving the Grand National Mercury's for the wood brothers. Beautifully restored 6 years ago and set up for historic road course races. Powered by a fresh side oil 427 with tunnel port heads, Ford forged steel crankshaft (std), Racetec 12.4:1 pistons (std), Eagle H beam rods, Howard solid roller camshaft, Isky valve springs, SS valves T&D rocker arms, dry sump oi system, custome SS headers etc. Close ratio top load 4 speed transmission, centerforce 11" duel friction clutch, Quicktime bellhousing, 31 spline floater rear end with 4.11:1 N case locker. restored original suspension components with nos vintage Monroe racing shocks, original 3 1/2 x 11" drum brakes, Borgason power steering box with KRC pump. Two sets original 9.5 x 15 double center wheels, Halon fire system.Too many unique features to mention.
