This 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 b Cabriolet D was the factory show car for the 1955 Toronto National Motor Show. It is 1 of only 59 Cabriolet D's built in 1955. A 3 owner car from new, it is believed to be the chauffeured driven car used by the German Consulate in New York when the First Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, Konrad Adenauer visited New York. This is how it obtained its nickname, "The Adenauer".
