Hello and thank you for looking at this 1970 Jaguar E Type 2+2 Coupe.
The car is a solid, straight E Type, with a beautiful finish and a nice Connolly leather/Wilton Wool carpet, and clean, non smoker interior. The chrome is very good, the tires are new Coker Classic Red-Lines. The 4.2 straight six is the original, numbers matching engine. I was told the original owner had the dealer swap the Borg Warner Automatic (Slush Box) transmission, with Jaguar’s slick shifting, full synchromesh, 4-Speed manual gearbox, upon delivery. The car starts at the first turn of the key and runs smooth and strong. All gauges work as they should. The clutch is smooth, with no slip or chatter. The car runs strong, with a beautiful exhaust note from the brand new chrome exhaust resonators. The canister oil filter was upgraded with a superior, Spin-on oil filter conversion. The car is ready to drive and enjoy. This is a straight, solid, Southern example of the iconic Jaguar XKE.
