This is a very original 1968 Plymouth GTX owned by the previous owner for 35 years. It is a factory bucket seat console car still wearing all of its original factory colors of RR1 - S6R (Burgundy Metallic Exterior – Sport Bucket Burgundy Interior).

The original engine block (standard bore #’s match) comes with the car. The block (virgin block, never bored) is freshly AMPRO prepped, cleaned and magnafluxed. The block has been out of the car for years due to some freeze cracking. We have been told that the identified crack areas are repairable (stich-able) and it all comes with the car.

Currently under the hood is a “date correct” engine (D-Block) Casting Number 2536430-10 with a casting date of 1-10-68. The engine retains its original to the car heads, intake, stamped rockers and HP exhaust manifolds. It was upgraded with forged aluminum pistons at the time of rebuild. IT RUNS VERY STRONG.

All hoses, belts, heater core, steering gear and pump and most everything under the hood has been meticulously restored or is new. The original to the car radiator was just restored by “Glen-Ray Radiator” and is concourse perfect.Other than an upgraded ignition system (makes the car run fantastic) this GTX is very original, unmolested and ready to enjoy. Both the engine and the 727 transmission were freshened up less than 1000 miles ago and they DO NOT LEAK.

The car was lightly (didn’t need much) restored in about 2005 and still retains all of its original sheet metal including the fenders, floors, trunk, frame rails all in good shape. The car lived most of its life in Oregon which explains the original metal and near perfect floors (look closely at the pictures). All glass is original accept the windshield.

The interior was restored using Legendary Interior products throughout and is spectacular. Instrument Specialties (best in the business) beautifully restored the instrument cluster and the dash.

The original Fender Tag and Vin Tag are still in place. Even the radiator (mentioned above) is original to the car with a date code of May 3, 1968. The spark plug wires are brand new date code reproductions (1stQuarter 68) with all the correct mounting brackets and separators. The suspension has been restored to factory specs using the OEM style rubber bushings and drives excellent.
